The Divine Nature I
The project “The Divine Nature” stems from the admiration and respect I have nurtured, since childhood, for the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. I have studied at the Salesian High School Don Bosco in Santiago, Chile. One of the priests, who was also my teacher, gave me his book *The Canticle of the Creatures*. The first thing that struck me was the love that Saint Francis had for all living beings and nature. This same reading has profoundly influenced my personal journey and spiritual growth.
Today, at the end of my professional career, I would like to modestly honor, through “The Divine Nature,” the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis’s death. It is a two-year production to be realized in the Casentino National Park. The legacy of Saint Francis of Assisi is being reborn, taking on a new form in modern ecology and environmental conservation—an ever-relevant legacy in today’s world. This project includes the publication of a book, the production of a film, and a traveling photographic exhibition.
Human selfishness and great negligence, driven by a thirst for power and a lack of respect for nature, are rapidly leading humanity towards self-destruction.
The systematic elimination of protected species, unlimited deforestation, environmental pollution, and climate change are undeniable and indisputable facts.
