Cavaliers du monde
Always interested in the equestrian world, Patricio Estay devoted almost eleven years of his life photographing horsemen on every continent: Gauchos from Argentina, Stockmen from Australia, the Guardians of the Camargue, Charros from Mexico, Cavalry-archers from Japan, etc… He gives us a glimpse into the lives of these modern centaurs. It is the doors to these kingdoms that we have tried to swing open, guided by these “Horsemen”…
Tibet Land of exile
Patricio Estay has dedicated eleven years of his photographic work to various aspects of Tibet. This book captures his many subjects, including the Dalai Lama; the Tibetan population in exile; the school for refugee children created by Jetsun Pema, sister of His Holiness; the young exiled monks who have found a new home in the monasteries of Dharamsala; and the pilgrims who come to celebrate the holiday of Losar, the Tibetan New Year. The first part of the book presents glorious black and white photographs of beautiful spiritual images. In contrast, the second part features full-color photographs of the hard, gritty reality of modern-day Tibet
